I admire...
Hi everyone! Today, I will talk about a person that I admire about my career.
This person is a woman named "Marilda Iamamoto".

Marilda Iamamoto is a brazilian social worker. She born in
Minais Gerais but there isn’t information about her year of birth. In addition
to being a social worker, she is a Master in Rural Sociology, retired professor
at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and, currently, Visiting
Professor at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF).
She has made important contributions to brazilian social
work, and to social work in the entire world. For example, her contribution has
influenced in an important way the elaboration of the Minimum Curriculum of the
Brazilian Association of Teaching in Social Service (ABESS). Also, she talks a
lot about social relations in her country and in general, insisting that there
must be a transformation of them.
I think that she is a very strong woman who has known how to
use the bad moments that she has spent, and transform them into a legacy.
That is the principal reason why I admire her. She lived the
dictatorship in her country when she was very young, and she used it to change
the world. She decided to enter study
social work and has become one of the most important women in the field.
I think that she is a survivor, and I believe in her lovely
work.
